A Virginia-focused cookery celebrating sustainability, balance, community, and connection through food and the seasons.

Welcome to GRACE

GRACE is a farmhouse cookery led by Chef Jessica Wilson and a small dedicated team who care deeply about the work we do and the people we serve. Our menu is rooted in Virginia and the landscape that connects us, shaped by the season of the moment.

Working closely with farmers, fishermen, foragers, and makers, we create thoughtful dishes that celebrate the abundance of Virginia and the surrounding region. Guided by the season, thoughtful sourcing, and a commitment to responsible practices, we strive to honor each ingredient while bringing people together around the table.

Small by design, our kitchen and dining room create a warm and personal experience that brings the outdoors in, reflecting the landscape, seasons, and sense of place that inspire our menu. Whether joining us for a glass of wine and a few dishes, gathering with friends, celebrating, or settling in for a longer meal, our knowledgeable team cooks and serves side by side, guiding your experience with care. Each dish is prepared to order, allowing the meal to unfold naturally.

We look forward to welcoming you in.

ROOTED IN PLACE

Everything fresh at GRACE comes directly from Virginia farmers and producers, or is foraged by us from the landscape around us. Nearly all of what fills our pantry—from our flours and grains to our seeds, spices, and other dry goods—is sourced from Virginia and our neighboring states.

We work with what is available rather than sourcing for what we think we need. Our menus are created from what our farmers grow, what nature provides, and what the season gives us. Everything is made in-house and to order—from the food on our tables to our natural sodas, tonic, and charcoal-filtered soda water. We use each ingredient fully, with a thoughtful, low-waste approach that carries through everything we do.

Our wines and spirits are chosen with that same intention. Some come from Virginia and nearby, while those from farther away reflect the same values: small production, thoughtful practices, independent and family producers, and a connection to the people and place behind what they make.

That sense of place carries through GRACE itself. We bring the Virginia landscape indoors through harvested James River driftwood, found rocks and feathers, fresh-cut flowers, Virginia-made cherry wood tabletops, soapstone, ceramics, and other natural elements, with native plantings outside. Even our gift cards are made in-house, using paper we make ourselves with embedded native seeds that can be planted.

On each of our menus, we proudly share and celebrate the people we work with around us.

Every choice we make—from what we source and create to what surrounds our tables—is made with purpose.

We are rooted in place and share with heart.
